Monthly Meetings
Covid-19 Update: Our Guild is now meeting in person again. We also do a simultaneous Zoom meeting so that far-flung members can attend as well.
Guild members and guests meet January through October on the third Saturday of the month from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Wesley United Methodist Church (5770 Arlington Ave. Riverside, CA 92504).
A TYPICAL GUILD MEETING
Our official meeting begins at 10:00 am, but members often come 30 minutes early to catch-up while we set up our workspace.
At a typical meeting we will:
Discuss guild business including upcoming demonstration and learning opportunities.
Host a show & tell of newly finished projects and historical laces.
Share snacks and purchase supplies supplies from Maria Provencher, one of our guild offices and owner of Provo Lace Shop.
Browse our library of rare and useful lace making books, videos, and magazines.
Take a skills class with our rotating cohort of teachers. We ask that you bring $5 as a donation for the teacher. To learn about upcoming classes, check out our most recent newsletter for information and a list of necessary supplies.
Note: Attendees are not required to take the class. Many of our members work on their own lace throughout the duration of our meeting and don’t always have room on their pillow for a new project.
Beginners to Bobbin Lace are always welcome! We will guide you in your first steps along the lace path.
